Meet in the mountains in real life
Meeting rooms, accommodation, restaurants and an entire ski resort are within walking distance. You Funäsdalen have everything you need for an unforgettable conference or kick-off.
You can book a conference room fifteen minutes from the office. Alternatively, you can take the group to Härjedalen, check in at a hotel in the middle of the mountains and see what happens when everyone gets out of their usual environment.
It usually shows immediately. The conversations on the gondola ride are more lively than in a meeting room, and things are said over dinner that wouldn’t have been said otherwise. The next morning, the group is sitting in the room and is there, not half-way through the meeting.
Up to 126 people
Stor Skarven seats 68 people in a theater seating arrangement and 28 in a U-shaped seating arrangement. If you need more space, the Fjällmuseet listening room with 126 seats is available in the village.
Dinner at 957 meters
The top cabin is located at 957 meters altitude with full rights and 50 seats. The gondola takes you up and down. It is possible to subscribe for groups.
Over 600 beds
153 beds in the hotel, 36 in the hostel, and just over 100 apartments with over 600 beds in total. We have room for both the management team and the entire company.
2.5 hours from Arlanda
The flight from Arlanda to Sveg and the bus from there take 2.5 hours. A chartered flight to Röros takes 2 hours by bus. A chartered bus all the way from Stockholm takes 7.5 hours.
Kickoff and staff party in the mountains
A kickoff doesn’t need a four-hour agenda. Sometimes all it takes is getting everyone out of the office and giving them something to do together.
We open Toppstugan for the evening. The gondola takes you up to 957 meters, dinner is served up there while the sun sets over the Funäsfjällen, and then you head back down in the darkness. Both Toppstugan and Kåvan are available for group bookings, and you get the place to yourselves.
If you want something completely different, there is Vauldalen just across the Norwegian border. There you meet the Skott family, ride horses and sledge up to Vauldalskojan on the mountain and eat food cooked over an open fire.
Three approaches to follow
We build around your needs, but this is what most people start with.
Half-day conference
Local venue with technology, refreshments and lunch at the Fjäll Restaurant. Ideal if you are already in the area or want to schedule the meeting before an activity in the afternoon.
Full-day conference
Local service all day, morning coffee break, lunch, afternoon coffee break and dinner. A full day without anyone having to move around.
Conference with overnight stay
Everything for the full day plus accommodation and a breakfast buffet. This is where you can do that extra thing, and that’s usually where the memories are created.
Conference rooms at the hotel Funäsdalen
Three premises in the same building as the rooms and restaurant, as well as a venue for larger groups within 5 minutes' walk.
We furnish according to what you plan to do and set up the technology before you arrive.
Great Cormorant
90 m². Movie seating 68, school seating 64 or 48, U-shaped seating 28.
Newly renovated venue overlooking the Skarvarna and Funäsdalssjön, one floor down from the Fjällrestaurangen. Projector in the ceiling, sound system, microphones and whiteboard, with VGA, DVI and HDMI connections. It is possible to set up a buffet in the venue, and there is an outdoor patio outside. Toilets are adjacent and there is an elevator nearby.
Little Skarven
40 m². Movie seating 20, school seating 20 or 16, U-seat 8.
It serves both as a group room for Stor Skarven and as a private space for smaller meetings. There is a seating area, whiteboard and a portable projector to borrow. There is also a ping-pong table. The room lacks windows, but has a glass door facing Stor Skarven.
Vigils
27 m². Oval table with space for 8 people.
A room for eight people around an oval table, one floor up from the lobby. Fireplace, seating area and balcony overlooking the mountains and the lake. Projector and whiteboard are available, with VGA, DVI and HDMI connections. Suitable for the management team, board of directors and all meetings that benefit from not being held in a conference room.
Funäsdalens Mountain Museum
126 seats in the auditorium, with stage and technical equipment.
If you need more space, the Fjällmuseet listening room is five minutes away on foot. It’s a beautiful venue with technology, a stage, and graden seating.
Do something together
It's usually here that the kickoff becomes a kickoff. When everyone stands in the same line, lassoes are thrown for the first time, or their fingers freeze at the same time.
In the winter we arrange snowmobile tours, ice climbing, snowshoeing, kick racing and visits to the same-name village of Mittådalen, where the group can try lasso throwing and go sledding. In the summer there are hiking, cycling, canoeing along Ljusnan, rafting, rock climbing, horseback riding and Via Ferrata. And for those who want to take it easy, there is bread baking in the Bruksvallarna bakery, beer tasting at Härjebrygg in Tännäs or a meeting with the Myskoxes at the Myskox Centre.

Food and dinner
We cook all our food with love and adapt it to the group. We always cater for allergies and special diets, just let us know in advance.
Fjällrestaurangen
On Fjällrestaurangen Buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners with Hederdal ingredients are served here; two steps down at Funäsdalen the hotel you will find the restaurant overlooking Funäsdalssjön and Skarvarna. The entire restaurant seats 86 people and can be divided into smaller and more intimate seating areas.
The Summit Lodge
The Summit Lodge Located at an altitude of 957 meters with full rights and 50 seats. The gondola takes you up and down. This is the dinner the group is talking about a year later, and it is available to subscribe to.
Kåvan Restaurant & Bar
Kåvan Restaurant & Bar Located at the valley station of its ski lift with 100 seats, après ski and live music during the winter season. Group subscriptions available.
Funäsdalen It is also a lively town with more places than our own. Skoogs bar, bistro and deli is just across the street and is great for a relaxed group dinner, and Berggatan 8 is a popular after-ski stop.

Gondola ride with luxury coffee
A trip with the Gondola up Funäsdalsberget is a time-efficient and wonderful experience. Across the street from Hotel Funäsdalen you can sit comfortably in the Gondola that takes you to Toppstugan. Conference coffee with a view for miles!
Meet the musk oxen
In Tännäs, just a few miles from Funäsdalen, is the Muskox Center. You go on a guided tour that starts in Härjebrygg's premises, then you go to the enclosure where you get to hear more about and meet these ancient animals. By visiting the enclosure, you will also contribute to the survival of the wild population on the mountain.
Beer tasting Härjebrygg
Sweden's highest located beer brewery 650 meters above sea level. Makes beer with love, malt, hops, yeast and fresh mountain water. Welcome to a tasting with local snacks.
Tasting reindeer & game
Right next to Hotell Funäsdalen is the shop Jille Ren & Vilt, which sells processed reindeer and game meat. They have their own slaughterhouse and cutting in Ljusnedal. Bring your group for a tasting of all their delicious products.
Visit the Mountain Museum
Härjedalen's mountain museum is within walking distance of Hotel Funäsdalen. Here, objects and stories about mountain farmers, Sami and mill workers come together. The foundation for the collections was laid in the late 1800s by the far-sighted merchant Erik Fundin.

Skiing
Take a few rides on Funäsdalsberget between the meetings. With the Gondola right next to the hotel, you can easily get up and down without it interfering with what you need to get done during the conference. You can also hold your conference at the foot of the slalom slope at Kåvan Restaurant & Bar.
Cross-country skiing
Just below Hotell Funäsdalen is a nice 3 and 5 kilometer track in easy terrain. Tracks for both classic and skate. The tracks are also linked to the other Nordic Ski tracks, which opens up for even longer tours if you wish. There is also a track at the top of Funäsdalsberget where you can ski with a view of the mountain ranges.
Top tour
Hire equipment and join us on an unforgettable trip up, for example, Storskarven. Going up is well worth the effort when you get to ski down untouched snow.
Scooter tour
Choose to either go snowmobiling on your own or follow one of our skilled guides who can show you around Funäsfjällen. The hotel's snowmobile parking lot is right next to the hotel and from it you start when you go out on Funäsfjällen's 60 miles of snowmobile trails.
Ice climbing
Want to challenge yourself? Test climb along an icefall with sharp ice axes and crampons. A guaranteed experience.
Pimpla
Rent fishing equipment and easily get down to Funäsdalssjön just below Hotell Funäsdalen. There is a great chance of fishing luck in the fish-rich lake!
Off-piste
Try off-piste with a guide or ask us where you should go. Funäsdalsberget and the surrounding area have great opportunities for wonderful skiing outside the slopes when the snow conditions are right.
Gondola ride with luxury coffee
If you have a few hours to spare during the conference, it is well worth taking a trip with the Gondola up Funäsdalsberget. Across the street from Hotel Funäsdalen you can sit comfortably in the Gondola that takes you to Toppstugan. Conference coffee with a view!
Hiking
Either you go with a guide or we will suggest a suitable hiking tour for your group and arrange coffee packages that you can bring on the tour. You can choose from a few hours to a whole day with food.
Cycling
Experience the mountain ranges by bike with a guide or on your own. Coffee or lunch can be enjoyed at one of the cozy rest stops along some tours or we prepare a coffee package that you can bring and enjoy where it suits.
Climbing to Toppstugan
Not far from Hotell Funäsdalen is Funäsdalens church, just above it begins one of Sweden's few Via Ferrata trails. You rent a climbing harness and helmet at Fjällsport and climb along the mountain up to Toppstugan. Once up, you are well worth something good to eat and drink.
Fishing with or without a boat
Rent fishing equipment from us and you can then easily get down to Funäsdalssjön which is located below Hotell Funäsdalen. If you want to go out on the lake, you can also rent a boat through us.
Canoe safari
Paddle along the meanders of Ljusnan and enjoy the tranquility. We arrange coffee or lunch that you can eat together on one of the beautiful sandbanks or at a shelter.
Canoeing
During May there is a lot of snow melt and the water levels are high, which creates good conditions for canoeing. Those of you who want to try a slightly more speedy activity should try this!
Golf
Ljusnedals golf course is located just a few kilometers from Hotell Funäsdalen. It is an 18-hole course that undulates with a wonderful view of Ljusnedalssjön and Funäsdalsberget. Have a conference in the morning and finish with a round of golf in the afternoon!
Mountain running
There's something special about running in the mountains. You experience the landscape with a greater presence and can take in nature in a completely different way. Let us recommend suitable tours for you or run with a guide.
SUP
Rent a SUP at Fjällsport and experience the tranquility of Funäsdalssjön on a hot summer day. From the lake you also get the chance to see the village and Funäsdalsberget from a whole new angle! Take the opportunity to take a coffee stop along the lake edge.
Disc golf
Play disc golf on Funäsdalsberget - rent disc golf kits at Fjällsport. Our new nine-hole course starts at Röstbergsliften and takes you up Funäsdalsberget. A fun and challenging sport that suits everyone!

Everything is located in the village, close to the venue and close to the slopes. We have space for both the management team and the entire company.
Hotel Funäsdalen
153 beds ranging from single rooms to quadruple rooms, right in the middle of the village and across the road from the gondola. Breakfast buffet at the Fjäll Restaurant and staffed reception. A classic mountain hotel with roots dating back to 1947.
The hostel
36 beds in 13 rooms in a separate part of the same building as the hotel. Bright, fresh surfaces and homely rooms on two floors. Good when the group would rather spend the money on activities than on hotel rooms.
Apartments & cottages
Just over 100 apartments with a total of over 600 beds, for 6 to 12 people. Most of them are newly built and located near the mountain and the lifts, many with ski in and ski out access. Suitable for larger groups who want to be a little more independent and cook together.
Nature does the work
Hold the morning meeting at a mountain peak. Take a hike between the sessions. End the day by standing outside and watching the northern lights together.
The views are vast, the silence is real and nothing competes for attention.
It is also a real mountain village, with people living here year-round. That feeling is hard to put into words, but easy to miss when you return home.

Winter
Day 1
Check-in and lunch at the Fjäll Restaurant. Meeting in Stor Skarven in the afternoon. Gondola up to Toppstugan for dinner and sunset, back down in the darkness for an after-ski at Kåvan for those who wish.
Day 2
Breakfast and a short session in the morning. Skiing in the slopes or a scooter tour after lunch. Return home when your legs are tired.
Summer
Day 1
Check-in and lunch. Meeting in the afternoon. Hiking up the mountain or taking the gondola up to Toppstugan for dinner with a view of the entire Funäsfjällen.
Day 2
Breakfast and workshop in the morning. Paddling along the Ljusnan river, cycling or Via Ferrata after lunch.

Find your way to Funäsdalen
Air travel: Arlanda to Sveg plus bus 2.5 hours. Charter flight Arlanda to Röros plus bus 2 hours. Arlanda to Östersund plus bus 3.5 hours.
Bus: The bus took 7 Funäsdalen.5 hours from Stockholm to Stockholm. The bus The Härjedalingen The route between Stockholm, Uppsala and Gävle is served Funäsdalen six days a week.
Car: 56 miles from Stockholm, 71 miles from Gothenburg.
Our seasons
The hotel and the Fjäll restaurant are open from the end of November to the middle of April, and from the middle of June to the end of September. If you wish to visit outside these times, we are of course happy to make exceptions to meet your needs.

How many people can you accommodate at the conference?
Our largest room, Stor Skarven, seats 68 people in a theater setting and 28 in a theater-style seating arrangement. The mountain restaurant seats 86 people and the hotel has 153 beds. For larger groups, we provide apartments with over 600 beds in total, and the mountain museum’s auditorium, five minutes’ walk away, seats 126 people.
How do we get Funäsdalen from Stockholm?
Flights from Arlanda to Sveg and then bus take about 2.5 hours. Charter flights to Röros take about 2 hours by bus from there. The chartered bus all the way from Stockholm takes 7.5 hours. By car it is 56 miles from Stockholm.
Is there technology in the premises?
Big Skarven has a fixed projector, sound system, microphones and a whiteboard. Vigeln has a projector and whiteboard. Portable projector is available to borrow for Big Skarven. VGA, DVI and HDMI are available in Big Skarven and Vigeln. If you need more, we work with a technology provider in the village.
Is it possible to have a kickoff or staff party at your place?
Yes. Both Toppstugan and Kåvan are available for group bookings, and we arrange everything from dinner at the mountain top to skiing on the slopes and evenings with open fire in Vauldalen. Tell us what you want to do and we will make a proposal.
When during the year is it possible to hold a conference with you?
The hotel and the mountain restaurant are open from the end of November to the middle of April, and from the middle of June to the end of September. If you would like to come outside of these periods, please contact us so we can see what we can do.
Can you arrange activities?
If we can! Both our own and through local organizers. Ski school with our own ski instructors, scooters and team building through PULS, beer tasting at Härjebrygg, a guided tour at the Myskox Centre, visits to the Sámi village Mittådalen and much more.
